Passion + Compassion

As a teacher, Leigh Ann’s enthusiasm and passion are infectious and her knowledge and clarity are reassuring to students of all ages and levels. She wholeheartedly believes that mindfulness, meditation and yoga are personal journeys that cannot be adequately described in words, but rather have to be experienced to be understood.  Her mission is to create a space for students to encounter themselves with compassion and awareness, and to give them the opportunity to find and explore their edges thereby allowing them to step a little closer to freedom and to go beyond resistance into an acceptance they may have never realized was there.

Taking time to explore the innermost landscape of your life seems more important than ever amidst the freneticism and chaos the outer world constantly delivers.  I truly believe that "dropping in" and "dropping down" in this way is a tremendous contribution to everyone you love, to the community in which you live, and to the whole world at large.  Remaining calm, grounded and resourced, despite the surrounding chaos, is a skill as well as a gift and, together, we will explore how to cultivate all three.


Align and shine through Authentic Yoga classes. The alignment based classes I offer allow students to feel safe in a nurturing environment so that they can explore their personal edges without fear of injury.  I like weave in the philosophy of yoga, in modern terms,  so that the tools offered through these ancient teachings can be more readily understood and accessed in real life. Once we strengthen and open our physical bodies and minds through yoga, every aspect of our lives becomes a vehicle for growth and expansion. Yoga may begin on the mat, but the real practice begins off the mat.
